Q. We really like a certain piece of furniture, but it just doesn't fit our space. Can THE WOODWORKS help us? A. Yes, working from plans, a picture, or an existing piece of furniture, traditional designs can reproduced to order. Your reproduction can be built to the original size, or scaled to your preferred dimensions. Q. Why is a custom made piece from THE WOODWORKS such a value? A. Simply put, most ready made furniture and cabinetry passes through many middlemen before you finally purchase it. Only a small percentage of the price you're paying is for the manufacturing of that item. On the other hand, when you purchase your furniture and cabinetry from THE WOODWORKS you can be assured that 100% of the purchase price is going towards top-grade material, and expert design; never for the middlemen who offer no real value to the price. Q. Well that all sounds great, how do we get started? A. When you commission THE WOODWORKS, we will provide detailed, scale drawings, (custom items only) and a formal written estimate, including shipping (if necessary). We can then begin work upon receipt of an agreed upon down payment (usually one third) and can normally deliver in 4-5 weeks, depending on current workload and your projects complexity. The balance is due upon delivery. Q. What if I change my mind and want to cancel my order? A. Should you decide to not proceed with your project after making a deposit You will be billed a minimum fee ( at least 35%) of the total amount. This is to cover our labor costs along with any material consumed by your project. The scale drawings will be your to keep for future use.
